You’ll hear more about my adventure in the Grand Canyon, but to me, the most influential/catastrophic/FML event that happened on that amazing trip was before mile #3. My trustee hiking boots for the last 15 years chose THIS TRIP to fall apart on me. The soles actually split from the boot and left only a couple of inches attached at the heel.
